How to attend online teaching activities

Published: 01 Octombrie 2020

When teaching activities at FSEGA (courses, seminars, laboratories / practical works, consultations) take place online, this is done using Zoom and the Moodle FSEGA platform.

✓ Courses, seminars, laboratories / practical works, tutoring / mentoring meetings and consultations will take place in a synchronous manner, as scheduled, via Zoom videoconferences. For participating in these activities, each student will need to create a personal Zoom account and to install the Zoom application on their own computers.

- See how to download, install and connect to the Zoom application here: https://youtu.be/AVytfW_ivGc

✓ In the FSEGA Moodle platform (https://econ.elearning.ubbcluj.ro/moodle/), on the page of each subject, teachers will include learning supports, learning requirements, alternative learning resources, as well as a discussion forum in which students can ask questions about the subject and receive answers from teachers.

To participate in a course, seminar or laboratory / practical work as scheduled, students will firstly access and authenticate in the FSEGA SIS (Student Information System) platform (http://www.econ.ubbcluj.ro/sis/), using the registration number and the personal numerical code (or passport number).

Furthermore, by accessing the Orar Specializare section, students will be able to view their own schedule.

Afterwards, students will access the link represented by the name of the teacher mentioned in the activity, and then view the teacher's CV and access the link specified in the Zoom field, thus entering the videoconference related to the respective teaching activity.

In order to participate in consultations with a specific teacher, students will first log in to the FSEGA SIS (Student Information System) platform (http://www.econ.ubbcluj.ro/sis/), and then access the teacher's online CV.

A teacher can be found by searching the FSEGA Departments online section, and then the Members sub-section on each department's page. See here: (https://econ.ubbcluj.ro/n1.php?id_m=2&m=Departamente)

In a teacher's CV students will view both the consultation schedule and the link through which students will be able to enter the Zoom videoconference related to the consultations.

IMPORTANT! A student who wishes to enter the videoconference related to any teaching activity must specify in the Zoom application his/her name and surname, otherwise there is a risk of not being admitted to the videoconference by teachers.
