Dear members of the academic community of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration,
The current situation we find ourselves in is extremely complex and difficult due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which puts us in unpredictable situations, often in a short time.
Considering the situation generated by the COVID-19 pandemic and the decisions of the Administration Council of Babeș-Bolyai University, analyzing very carefully the official information available, but especially the information provided by the COVID-19 RoEIM platform, and taking into account the following aspects:
• The absolute priority of our academic community represented by ensuring and guaranteeing the health of students and faculty staff in the FSEGA Campus,
• The choice of our academic community to minimize the risk of infection with the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus for both students and faculty staff, as well as their families and relatives,
• In the current conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic in Romania, respectively of the national regulations existing at this date, the risk that at a time interval of approximately 2 weeks to switch from the activity in a hybrid system to the online system is extremely high,
• The declared intention of the Dean's Office of our faculty to organize the winter exam session related to the academic year 2020 - 2021 within the FSEGA Campus,
• The will of the entire academic community to resume teaching activities at least in a hybrid system for all students of our faculty, not only for those in the first year, starting with the second semester of the academic year 2020 - 2021,
The Council of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, gathered on September 7, 2020, decided, by a large majority, to carry out online all teaching activities related to the first semester of the academic year 2020 - 2021.
Consequently, in these conditions, our commitment to the entire academic community is represented by the fact that the teaching activities will be carried out so that the life course of the students will not be affected too much, returning to a renewed traditional perspective as soon as possible.
I invite you to consider this semester as an opportunity to develop and modernize the educational system we offer our students.
Now, more than ever, we should be responsible to the academic community, but equally to the city of Cluj Napoca, the region and, implicitly, to all those close to us.
We are very confident that together we will get through this period faster and easier, and we will return to school properly.
